Soltera Fixing System
- The Soltera fixing system is a revolutionary patented fixing system that has been designed to work with the LBS range of Snowdon and Shetland clay tiles
- It allows for speedy and secure fixing of interlocking roof tiles, and is vastly superior to any other fixing system on the market
- It works by having one fixing (either screw or nail) fixed into the tail of a roof tile which also screws into the head of the roof tile below it, and down into the roof battens
- This results in 1 fixing holding 2 tiles securely in place instead of the old traditional fixing system of 2 nails and 1 clip per tile
- LBS have re-positioned the nail holes in our range of large format tiles, to allow for this
- It is a much stronger system and greatly increases the security of the roof, reducing the risks of tiles blowing off in a storm
- In addition to offering a more secure fixing, it also reduces the time needed to fit tiles by around 30%
- LBS also recommends double nailing tiles around the perimeter of the roof
