The Millenium Centre, Cardiff, Wales

One of the most prestigious Welsh Slate projects in the recent decade.  Welsh Slate UK supplied the external walling for the Millenium building in Wales.  Designed by Jonathan Adams of Percy Thomas Architects (now the Capita Group), the building was designed to evoke everything Welsh, and the stone layers representative of the layers of slate so richly associated with Welsh industry.  The layers are made up of red and heather slate from the Welsh Slate Penrhyn quarry with the blue and green coming from the Cwt site.  The end result is simply stunning ..... beautiful heathers and flashes of green that create a tiered multi coloured building that is simply arresting.
