Asian Slate
China has become an emerging player in the production of natural roofing slates over the last 15 years. Most of the slates come from the Shaanxi province - a mineral rich area of over 200,000 km2.
Through extensive research with local partners and geologists, we have sourced some the finest quality slate found anywhere in the world. We have been actively selling this product into the Irish marketplace since the mid 1990s and are of the opinion that the slate is comparable with the finest quality premier grade Spanish slates.
The slate is now widely specified by architects and roofing contractors, and is available in Ireland exclusively through LBS.
