Cwt Y Bugail
Cwty Y Bugail is part of the Welsh // Slate Group, which owns the 3 main slate quarries in North Wales. The quarry site, originally opened in 1836, covers several thousand acres of spectacular scenery. It is an attractive dark blue grey slate with a riven texture, available in standard sizes of 500×250mm and 400×250mm and 3 grades: Capital Grade (nominal 6mm thickness), County Grade (nominal 8mm thickness) and Celtic Grade (nominal 10mm thickness). This slate is frequently used for architectural applications such as cladding, walling and paving, but is also an extremely popular roofing product which perfectly compliments Welsh//Slates. range. Cwt Y Bugail slates are generally expected to outlive the life of a building (when fixed in accordance with BS 5534 and BS 8000), and are covered by a 100 year quarry backed guarantee. |
