The Rio gray/green slate is the most popular of our Brazilian range and is an attractive light gray / green slate. It is quarried form the Minas Gerais region of Brazil and is an extremely strong, durable slate with a flat, clean surface. Subtle natural tonal variations bring out the beautiful characteristics of the slate and add to its individuality.

The thickness of the slate is an extremely consistent 5-7mm, with minimal sorting and grading required. It is available in standard sizes of 50×25cm and 60×30cm, and available in prime grade.

Rio Gray Green slate is one of the only Brazilian slates for sale on the Irish market which truly conforms to BS EN 12326: Part 1: 2004 (certificate available upon request), and is covered by a 30 year quarry backed guarantee.
